Relationships are frequently a struggle for INFJs and INFPs, whether it’s a romantic relationship, friendship, or relationship within the workplace. Most INFJs and INFPs report that they don’t feel seen in relationships, and that they often feel misunderstood or rejected.

These experiences are confusing and disheartening to INFJs and INFPs, and can push us into apathy, depression, or even despair, because emotional intimacy with others is such a deep, fundamental need of our personality type.

INFJs and INFPs often struggle to make our needs known in relationships. We become easily overwhelmed by the energy and emotions of other people; we tend to always end up as the “fixer” (and sometimes enabler) in relationships; and we tend attract people who are self-absorbed and unable to see us. This leads us to feel lonely, even in our closest relationships.

We will be learning how to form conscious relationships by exploring current energy patterns that are no longer serving us with other people, as well as learning how to move forward into a new, improved experience with all the relationships in our lives.
