The fear of being seen is one of the most commonly reported fears from INFJ and INFP people. This fear is frequently related to childhood trauma, but can also be exacerbated by experiences we go through as adults.
Sometimes we are aware we have this fear, and so we can consciously work with it, but much of the time it remains unconscious. When the fear of being seen remains mostly unconscious, we tend to self-sabotage our creative efforts in life. We may hold back on starting or finishing the book we so badly want to write, or we may hide our works of art to protect ourselves from being judged by others.
We may also self-sabotage in other areas of our life, such as in our career or relationships.
Fear of being seen manifests as:
Long-term procrastination on your writing or creative work.
Reluctance to tell people that you are writing a book or working on your art.
Anxiety around submitting and/or publishing your work.
Discomfort with putting any pictures of yourself online.
Always keeping silent about your opinions due to fear of backlash.
Fear of “creepy people” contacting you if you put your work online.
Not feeling safe overall in group settings or when any attention is on you.
This workshop is for those INFJs and INFPs who are currently struggling with a fear of being seen, and who are ready to learn tools and strategies to work with this fear in order to break through to the next level of potential in their lives.
