Conscious Boundaries in Relationships

Boundaries are consistently one of the most draining challenges INFs struggle with in life. Many INFs have tried to do boundary work in a variety of different ways, only to feel like they fail every time. Unhealthy boundaries cause us unnecessary stress and result in many INFs avoiding interaction with others and closing themselves off from relationships

If you are an INF who struggles with boundaries, then you often feel like:

  • Saying no is hard for you, and it seems like you have to say no to people over and over again.
  • Your voice isn’t really heard in relationships, or in the workplace.
  • You make promises to yourself about things, and then very quickly break them.
  • You struggle with addictive tendencies.
  • When you do say no to someone, you immediately feel guilty.
  • You easily become sucked into other people’s problems and can lose yourself.
  • You have a history of losing yourself in romantic relationships.
  • Your friends and family always come first, and there is very little leftover for you.
  • You frequently want to hide away from the world and avoid everything.

Unhealthy boundaries can be hard for INFs to identify because most of us have never lived in any other way. Many of us believe this is just the way life is, but things can change

What we really need is to learn conscious boundaries
