My Experience with The Wallflower Box: A Subscription Box Just for Introverts

Okay, this might sound weird, but I’ve never done a subscription box before. I know what they are, because I have friends who get them, and I’ve always thought they were interesting but…meh, not really for me. I’m not into makeup or toys or collectibles or anything that seems to go into these oh-so-popular subscription boxes.

And then I discovered The Wallflower Box.

A subscription box for introverts? Really…hmmm. I didn’t know what to think. Would I like it? Or would I get it and think the same thing I’d already thought when I saw my friends get their various subscription boxes. Meh, not really for me.

And then I opened it up.

So, The Wallflower Box blew me away. It exceeded all my expectations. First, there was the way it smelled. I know this might seem like a small thing, but smell is a big deal to me. I’ve worked with coworkers in the past who will wear strong cologne and I CANNOT handle it. I can identify whatever it is my neighbor in the apartment across the hall is cooking instantly. My sense of smell is on steroids and there is nothing I can do about it. So, the way something smells is important to me, and The Wallflower Box smelled delicious. Just opening it was a lovely experience for that alone.

Then, I dug into the goodies and this is what I found:

A pineapple orchid scented soy candle from Purple Vertigo
A huge 7 oz. strawberry and coconut bath bomb from Austin Apothecary
A handmade Turkish towel from Turkish Linen Towels
3 hydrating sheet masks from Maskeraide
Vegan, cruelty-free shaving cream from NW Beauty Works
Gourmet granola from Atheen Oats

And then, which was SO perfect for me as a writer:

Cheryl Strayed’s memoir Wild

A silky sand glass timer by My Wish in a Bottle

So, I can read a little and then do a little timed writing. Amazing.

I’m so on board with this.

And I’m also super psyched because next month The Wallflower Box is including The INFJ Writer as their book choice to be included with every box. Hurrah!

If you’re interested in learning more about The Wallflower Box you can check out their website or their Facebook page.

I’m pretty impressed with them and I think you will be too.
